Herakleia is an extraordinary ancient city on the shore of Lake Bafa, today spread through the village of Kapıkırı. Built among the giant rocks of Mount Latmos, it unites nature and history in a unique harmony.
Village houses rise right among the ancient ruins, giving the feeling of a settlement lived within history itself. The Temple of Athena looks out over the lake from a rocky outcrop and is the city's most striking spot.
Sturdy shoes are recommended because of the rugged terrain. A village breakfast with a lake view rounds off the visit. It is about 40 km from our villas.
From a Crocus Turizm villa in Akbük, this hidden ancient city by Lake Bafa is easy to reach.
Stay in Crocus Turizm's seafront villas with private pools in Didim Akbük; the area's attractions are a short drive away.
