Lake Bafa

Lake Bafa is a unique natural wonder: once a gulf connected to the sea, it was cut off and turned into a lake by silt carried down by the Great Meander River. The imposing silhouette of the Beşparmak (Latmos) Mountains forms a dramatic backdrop to the water.

Nature and scenery

The lake and its surroundings are a designated nature park. Home to hundreds of bird species, it is a haven for bird-watchers. Olive groves and rocky hills along the shore offer endless frames for photography enthusiasts.
